Information Collected
Search terms entered into a sponsored search tool are sent to the outside provider that operates it. Messages voluntarily sent through a contact channel may include the sender’s name, email address, and message. Standard technical logs can record an IP address, browser, device type, referring page, viewed pages, and approximate time. Cookies or similar technologies may remember preferences, measure use, prevent abuse, and support advertising.
Do not submit sensitive personal data through a public search box. Official DeKalb booking, custody, court, or expungement records should be requested directly from the responsible government office.
How Data Is Used
Collected data may be used to operate and secure the site, respond to messages, diagnose errors, understand aggregate traffic, improve navigation, prevent fraud, and display or measure sponsored content. It may also be used to comply with a valid legal obligation.
The site does not create the DeKalb Sheriff’s booking record, Smithville or Alexandria police report, court docket, VINELink record, or TDOC file. Those outside entities apply their own privacy rules.
Sharing and Outside Services
Data may be received by search partners, hosting providers, analytics vendors, advertising networks, security services, and other contractors needed to operate the site. Information may also be disclosed when required by a subpoena, court order, or other lawful government demand, or when necessary to protect rights and safety.
Links lead to government agencies, local media, and other third parties. Their sites are independently controlled. Review their policies before submitting names, identifiers, phone numbers, email addresses, or notification PINs.
Security and Retention
Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online transmission or storage method is guaranteed secure. Data is kept only as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, legal duties, or dispute resolution, then deleted or de-identified where practical.
This site is not intended for people under 18. It does not knowingly seek personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information may request review and deletion, subject to legal retention duties.
Your Choices
Browser controls can limit cookies, though some functions may work differently. Depending on applicable law, a user may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data held by this private site. Such a request cannot alter records controlled by the DeKalb Sheriff, a police department, court, TDOC, TBI, VINELink, or an outside publisher.
This notice may be updated when practices or legal requirements change. Continued use after an update is governed by the revised notice posted here.
